Denturists

Denturists design, create and maintain dentures (artificial teeth) for patients with missing teeth. Much of the clientele is elderly, but denturists also serve athletes and those who have lost teeth in accidents. Many denturists also design custom mouth guards. Denturists have specialized training, but they don’t have the same qualifications as dentists and typically aren’t able to perform some procedures (such as oral surgery).
