Contractors - general

General contractors are different from home builders. They will often subcontract out any work that they cannot do themselves. They act more as a project manager, overseeing the process and obtaining permit. They often handle larger jobs as they will have the resources to take on big projects. It is a good idea to hire a general contractor for jobs that will take more than a week, or involve permits and multiple contractors.
